Position Description

The Software Engineer/ SAP Developer is a member of a dynamic team responsible for the implementation, maintenance, support and future development of the existing SAP software in Thenamaris.

The individual in this position will support the existing system in terms of troubleshooting and bug fixing, and further enhance the system through in-house development or development in cooperation with third party vendors.

Key responsibilities of the role include consulting and supporting key users as well as providing consistent, integrated IT solutions based on the business requirements. The individual will be expected to validate and test the quality of the deliverables from external consultants, ensuring the stability and availability of the SAP environment, including the interfaces, through standardized change and test management. The individual is also responsible for the system monitoring, problem identification and technical resolution of SAP software.

Applicants wishing to be considered should meet the following requirements:

Education, Experience & Skills

  • University degree in Information Systems Management / Computer Science / Computer Engineering or a related discipline. An MSc in a relevant field will be considered an asset
  • A minimum of 4 years working experience in a role requiring SAP development, preferably for FI, SD, MM and HR modules, ideally in an in-house IT team
  • Strong technical skills in SAP programming, including but not limited to: BAPIs and BADIs, system interfaces and Webservices integrating SAP modules with other systems, reporting (ALV reports, ABAP lists, SAPscripts and Smart Forms), screen programming, SAP Hana Studio development (BW, Hana views), and SAP workflows. SAP Fiori will be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of product life cycle, including requirements gathering, software design and development, testing, implementation and maintenance
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to present solutions and influence all levels of internal and external business stakeholders
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and deliver accurate results within predefined timescales
  • Proficiency in English, both written and oral

The position is permanent and is based at the company’s headquarters, in Athens (Vouliagmeni) Greece.
