The Bunkers Procurement Operator is involved in all pre-fixture and post-fixture activities of the Bunkers section. Specifically, responsibilities include the monitoring and analysis of the fuel markets and the evaluation of the bunker purchase for the vessels under management, including deal making, claims handling and the management of the supplier. The role is required to provide reliable and timely information on bunkering cost matters, to cooperate effectively with the vessel operator on the quality of the fuel supply service and to handle quantity and quality claims as they arise. The Bunkers Procurement Operator should monitor the fleet fuel inventory on a regular basis, assess demand, present purchase arbitrage opportunities and is required to establish cost saving initiatives related to fuel supply.
